Five different phosphates namely calcium hydrogen phosphate (CHP), diammonium phosphate (DAP), dicalcium phosphate (DCP), potassium dihydrogen phosphate (PHP) and single super phosphate (SSP) had been evaluated by in-vitro solubility test to predict their bioavailability value (BY) using different solvents such as 2.0% citric acid (CA), 0.4% hydrochloric acid (HCl), neutral ammonium citrate (NAC) and water. The in-vitro phosphorus (P) solubility of different phosphates revealed that the PHP-had a highr P solubility value (92.99%) followed by SSP (83.04%) and DAP (81.62%) and the lower P solubility was observed in DCP (56.97%) and CHP (50.80%). Amongst various solvents used, the 2.0% CA solubilized higher P (84.60%) followed by 0.4% HCI (79.76%), NAC (69.71%) and lower P solubilization was observed in water (58.27%).
