Abstract

The present study was conducted on 160 day old commercial broiler chicks raised under deep litter system with 4 stocking densities viz. 0.5, 0.75, 1.0 and 1.25 sq. ft/chick till 8-week of age. The variation in live weights at 6 and 8-weeks of age, feed consumption and feed conversion efficiencies during 3–6 and 3–8 weeks of age and mortality during 3–6 and 3–8 weeks of age due to stocking density were not significant (P>0.05).
