Abstract

Two types of crossbred(NNxSB and SBxFF) were produced along with NN and FF chicks to study the production performance. Twenty-week body weight of crossbred were significantly higher than the indigenous NN and FF bird. Average egg weight and age at sexual maturity were improved in crossbred. Annual egg production in NN, FF, NNxSB and SBxFF were, 98±8, 89±6, 159±7, 147±8 eggs, respectively. Feed conversion ratio was better in crossbred than the pure bred. Laying period mortality was higher in both crossbred than the NN and FF.
