Interactive of Atmospheric Components in Environmental Cycle

Abstract

This paper deals with the mathematical modelling of interactions between the components nitrate (NO3) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in atmosphere for naturally available oxygen from a section of environmental cycle. Using stability analysis, the linear model of environment is studied. Fixed-point analysis is used to derive the stability conditions. The time series and phase portraits are plotted using MATLAB. At an arbitrary point, both coexistence and catastrophe phase are observed which through numerical simulation verifies the stability conditions. It is observed that nitrate concentration lowers down due to lower nitrification rate which is a case of singular extinction. Chlo-rofluorocarbon levels are normally checked by nitrogen oxides, which prevents ozone depletion in stratosphere and contributing significantly in effective functioning as well as sustenance of other environmental cycles. Thus, it is concluded that the lower nitrate concentration in the atmosphere has very harmful effects on environment and disturb the other environmental cycles also.
