Abstract

Most of the real-world design or decision-making problems involve simultaneous optimization of multiple objectives. In this paper, our objective is to solve the constrained multi-objective reliability optimization problem of a system with interval valued reliability of components by optimizing two objectives (maximization of system reliability and minimization of system cost) under several constraints. The corresponding problem has been solved by different multi-objective optimization techniques using advanced genetic algorithm with the help of interval arithmetic and order relations. Finally, to illustrate the different approaches based on different multi objective optimization techniques, a numerical example has been solved.
