The article presents the results of a study on the elytral structure of 14 species of jewel beetles from different genera, conducted using a scanning electron microscope (JEOL JCM-6000). It was found that the most common type of macrosculpture is punctate-sulcate, while tile-like and foveate structures are less frequent. The microsculpture may be smooth, granular, or wrinkled, but is rarely well-pronounced. Observations at various SEM magnifications help reveal hidden morphological elements that are not visible under traditional optical microscopy.
