Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci Gennadius) and leafhopper (Amrasca biguttula biguttula Ishida) were the key sucking pests reported in brinjal. This study assesses the non-target effect of insecticides used against brinjal shoot and fruit borer Leucinodes orbonalis Guenee on these sucking pests. Applications of betacyfluthrin + imidacloprid and pyriproxyfen + fenpropathrin caused maximum reduction of B. tabaci (56.38 -57.79%) and these were found on par with each other.
