Abstract

This study evaluated the effectiveness of decontamination methods in reducing chlorantraniliprole and lambda-cyhalothrin residues in okra fruits. Sprays were applied at three doses (@ 28, 35, and 56 g a.i./ ha) during 50% fruiting stage, with samples collected up to 10 days post-application. Using a validated QuEChERS-GC-MS/MS method (LOD: 0.005 mg/ kg; LOQ: 0.01 mg/ kg), boiling water was found most effective, reducing residues by up to 88.46%, followed by 1% NaCl and veggie wash, demonstrating the efficacy of simple decontamination practices.
