Egg parasitoids play an important role in the biological control by attacking agriculturally important insect pests. An experiment was conducted to identify the egg parasitoid of the rice yellow stem borer Scirpophaga incertulas (Walker). The result revealed two egg parasitoids under field condition. Those were identified by using available taxonomic keys as well as molecular characterization. The species were identified as Tetrastichus schoenobii Ferriere and Telenmus dignus Gahan. The submission of the consensus sequence to National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database resulted in generation of GenBank accession numbers PP595810 for Tetrasctichus schoenobii Ferriere and PP654331 for Telenmus dignus Gahan for the first time from eastern India.
