A laboratory experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of insecticides against groundnut bruchid Caryedon serratus (Olivier) at the laboratory of Seed Technology Research Unit, Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola during 2019-20. There were nine treatments replicated thrice in completely randomised design. Pod treatment with deltamethrin 2.8EC @3.5 ml of 100 ppm/ l kept the pod damage below 10% i.e., 6.33% up to 7th month of storage followed by that with spinosad 45SC @2 ml of 100 ppm/ l (9% pod damage). Kernel damage due to C. serratus from the pods treated with deltamethrin 2.8EC @3.5 ml of 100 ppm/ l was observed to be <10% i.e 4.33% after 6th month of storage followed by pod treatment with spinosad 45SC @2 ml of 100 ppm/ l showing 6%kernel damage.
