This study is on an experiment to evaluate the efficacy of some new insecticides against whitefly Bemisia tabaci(Gennadius) in cucumber grown in the polyhouse of the farmers in Koolampatti village of Sembatti block, Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu. Results revealed that abamectin 1.9%EC @ 0.5 ml was the most effective. Treatments of spinosad 2.5%SC @ 1.2 ml and chlorfenapyr 10%SC @ 1.5 ml, thiodicarb 75%WP @ 1.5 g and dimethoate 30%EC @ 1.5 ml were moderately effective. It was observed that spiromesifen 22.9 SC @ 1.0 ml was the least effective.
