This study brings out the occurrence of one of the serious invasive pests of tomato, the South American tomato pin worm Tuta absoluta (Meyrick, 1917) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) from Sikkim. In a short time this pest has spread all over India, and now observed from the experimental fields of Sikkim University, Gangtok and other parts of Sikkim. Its occurrence and details in the various altitudes of Sikkim explained herein.
