Betasyrphus serarius (Wiedemann) is a major predator of green apple aphid Aphis pomi De Geer, an important pest of apple. The present study illustrates the life history and feeding potential of larvae of B. serarius reared on A. pomi under laboratory conditions and compares the variation of the same in autumn and spring seasons.
