Eight insecticides viz. trizophos 500 g ai./ha, imidacloprid 11 g ai./ha, thiamethoxam 50 g ai./ha, acetamiprid 30 g ai./ha, clothianidin 25 g ai./ha, dinotefuran 20 g ai./ha, diafenthiuron 310 g ai./ha were evaluated for their field efficacy against whitefly Bemisia tabaci on soybean. The results revealed the superior efficacy of diafenthiuron. All the insecticides evaluated were significantly superior over control except triazophos, after ten days of spray. The highest yield and benefit cost ratio was also obtained with diafenthiuron.
