Effect of biofertilizers on the biology of mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori L.

Abstract

The biofertilizers when applied and evaluated for their effects on the mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori L., on mulberry variety V-1 revealed significantly short larval (22.33 days) and pupal (11.02) periods, and more moth emergence (98.66%) and fecundity (583 eggs) with larvae fed on leaves applied with vermicompost, Azotobacter and Phosphobacteria in equal proportion.
