Abstract

An experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of oils (1%) of 15 plants on the feeding activity, biological and economic parameters of mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori L. Among the 15 plant oils tested five plant oils were not consumed which showed an elevated deterrent activity. Maximum antifeedant activity was noticed with Linum usitatissimum, and the cocoon weight was reduced.
