A study on biology of Chrysoperla carnea on Corcyra cephalonica indicated that the mean incubation period of C. carnea was observed to be significantly minimum (3.76 days) on neonate larvae of C. cephalonica followed by unsterilized (4.07 days) and sterilized (4.33 days) eggs of C. cephalonica. The duration of I, II and III larval instars ranged from 3.72 to 5.40, 2.54 to 3.92 and 3.13 to 4.57 days, respectively. The pupal duration of C. carnea was not affected significantly due to different preys. The highest mean life-cycle duration of male and female moths of 62.03 and 59.53 days was observed on unsterilized eggs of C. cephalonica. The significantly lowest pre-oviposition period (2.20 days) and highest oviposition period (32.90 days) of C. carnea was recorded on neonate larvae and unsterilized eggs of C. cephalonica respectively. The significantly highest number of eggs of 769.50 were laid by the female emerged from the larva when reared on unsterilized eggs of C. cephalonica followed by sterilized eggs (753.70) and neonate larvae of C. cephaloncia (508.60).
