A total of 200 sesame germplasm lines were screened against Antigastra catalaunalis, (Dup.) at Student's Instructional Farm of N.D.U.A.&T. Kumarganj, Faizabad (U.P.) during kharif 2006 and 2007. Observations on the infestation were recorded at pre capsule formation, post capsule maturity and at harvesting KMR-26. KMR-49, G-11, G-46, G-50, KM-5 and IC-43230 were found resistant, during kharif 2006, while KMR-26, KMR-19 G-13, G-17, G-44, KMS-4-300, KMS-5-366, IC- 43232, IC-43247, IC-52562 were resistant during kharif 2007. On the basis of two years evaluation only 32 germplasm lines were found promising and KMR-26, IC-43230 and IC-52582 were found resistant and 29 germplasm lines were found moderately resistant.
