An experiment conducted at the farm of Sugarcane Research Institute, Shahjahanpur revealed that the soil application of thiamethoxam @ 400 and 500 g/ha was the most effective treatment against termites, and its higher dose @ 500 g/ha was effective against shoot borer in sugarcane.
