The studies on life fecundity tables ofLeucinodes orbonalis Guenee were carried out in BOD incubator (temperature 26±1°C, relative humidity 65±5%) on tomato. The maximum duration of egg, larva and pupa was 5, 19 and 12 days, respectively. The net reproductive rate (Ro) was 151.40 females with a mean length of generation CD 41.22 days. The intrinsic rate of natural increase in numbers (rm) was 0.1218 females per female per day with a daily finite rate of increase (A.) 1.1304 females per female per day and the population would multiply 2.358 times per week. The hypothetical F2 females were worked out to be 22921.96. The per cent contribution of eggs, larva, pupa and adults was 56.31, 39.99, 3.16 and 0.52 per cent, respectively at stable age distribution ofL. orbonalis on tomato. The life expectancy of newly deposited eggs was only 14.32 days. The expectancy of further life was 3.67 days at the time of adult emergence. The life expectancy of L. orbonalis declined gradually with the advancement of development.
