Agar gel immunodiffusion test was assessed for study of infectious bursal disease seroprevalence. A total of 92 suspected poultry samples of central and western plateau agro-climatic zone in and around Ranchi district, Jharkhand during 2014–2015 were tested for the estimation of diagnostic sensitivity (Dsn) and diagnostic specificity (Dsp). The Dsn and Dsp were found to be 54.05% and 70.91%, respectively. When Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) was taken as Gold Standard for IBD antibody, ELISA and agar gel immune-diffusion tests recorded the seroprevalence of IBD as 40.22% and 39.13%, respectively, in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
