Histopathological and Serobiochemical Studies on Baby Chick Nephropathy out break ata Poultry Farm

Histopatological and serobiochemical studies were done on baby chicks suffering from high mortality due to baby chick nephropathy. Post mortem examination revealed white chalk like deposits covering on surface of various visceral organs and mucous membranes including joints. Serum samples were analyzed for urea, uric acid and creatinine. The serobiochemical studies showed high rise in the level of urea, uric acid and creatinine. Histopathological examination revealed presence of urates in different organs particularly in kidneys.
