Abstract

The German Shepherd and Pomerian which are medium and small breeds of dog, respectively are mostly preferred in Akola city of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. About fifty percent dog keepers preferred young male dogs of 2–4 years of age. Majority of the owners offered mixed (Veg + Non-veg) feed to their dogs.
