Inheritance of growth and conformation traits in RIR × CARI - BRO crosses

Data on 675 chicks of RIR × CARI-BRO crosses produced from 100 dams and 20 sires were used for genetic parameters estimation. The heritability estimates for early body weight and conformation traits were low but medium for body weight at 8 weeks of age. Most of the genetic and phenotypic correlations of the traits were positive and significant.
