Abstract

The present study was conducted in Erode district of Tamil Nadu state in which all the ninety life members of the farmer-readers were selected to study the subscribers' perception about the effectiveness of the farm journal - Kalnadai Kathir. This journal was perceived to be ‘moderately effective’ by 60 per cent of the farmer-readers. All the five cover page components and the format characteristics of the journal were perceived as ‘moderate to most satisfactory’ by more than two-thirds of the readers. Most of the readers expressed moderate satisfaction towards content and illustration components.
