Eighteen cross-bred growing male calves of indential physiological attributes were randomized to three groups six in each and fed basal ration (T1), basal ration with 25% CP replaced through poultry litter (T2) and basal ration with 25% CP substituted by dried temple waste (T3). Blood samples were collected from 3 calves from each group prior to starting the project and after completion of the experiment and analysed for various blood parameters. The values of RBC, WBC and Hb were however, relatively higher in T2 as compared to T1 and T3. The values of biochemical parameters viz. serum protein and serum urea obtained out of T1 and T3 were at par with values as 7.83 g/29.73 mg and 7.96 g/29.5 mg respectively. T2 with values 9.61 g/35.82 mg however, differed significantly (P<0.01) when compared with T1 and T3.
