Abstract

The effects of month of birth and sex of bunny on the body weights and Average Daily Gains (ADGs) from 6 to 16 weeks of age at bi-weekly intervals of 87 Californian White bunnies was studied. The influence of month of birth was significant on body weights at all the ages and on ADGs at majority of the age intervals studied. Sex of bunny significantly affected body weights and ADGs at all post weaning ages, except the body weight at 14 weeks of age. The estimates of genetic and phenotypic correlations were positive, significant and varied from moderate to high.
