A Generic View of Big Data: Tools and Techniques

Big data is data that exceeds the processing capacity of our traditional database systems, or say, the big data is too big, changes too fast, or it does not fit the structures of our conventional database systems. So to extract data from the big data is a challenging task and requires new technologies and architectures by capturing and analyzing processes. Owning to such a large size of data, use of conventional database structure or system becomes totally ineffective. Various properties of the Big Data set forth many challenges. Big data is a recent emerging concept in the market which can bring huge benefits not only confined to business organizations but all walks of life, thus it becomes necessary that various challenges and issues associated in bringing and adapting to this technology should be addressed. This paper introduces Big data technology, the various challenges and issues in adapting and accepting Big data technology, a brief of Big Data tools and techniques and its tools, Hadoop, are also discussed in detail along with the problems Hadoop is facing.
