Abstract

The natural cosmetics industry is experiencing a significant transformation driven by digital technologies. We analyze how e-commerce, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, social media, and blockchain are reshaping the industry landscape. Key trends include the rise of direct-to-consumer models, personalized product recommendations, virtual try-on experiences, and enhanced supply chain transparency. Digitalization presents opportunities for improved customer experiences, optimized supply chains, accelerated product development, and increased sustainability transparency. However, challenges such as data privacy concerns, integration of new technologies with existing systems, maintaining a "natural" brand image in digital spaces, and ensuring accessibility across diverse consumer groups persist. The article also discusses future prospects, including the potential of Internet of Things (IoT) for product efficacy tracking, advanced biotechnology in formulation, and AI-powered skincare diagnostics. Through case studies of successful digital initiatives in natural cosmetics brands, we illustrate practical applications and outcomes. This comprehensive review provides insights for industry professionals, researchers, and policymakers navigating the digital transformation of the natural cosmetics sector.
