In this paper, a bound on the order of highest order element in a permutation group has been obtained. These bounds are helpful in finding the order of maximal cyclic subgroup and the number of maximal cyclic subgroups in a permutation group. A bound on the order of intersection of two maximal cyclic subgroups is also discussed.
