Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive investigation of the electronic, optical, and magnetic properties of various materials. We calculated the values of Eh, Ec, and Ep and evaluated the iconicity (fi) using the Philips model. Our results are compared with those obtained from Tubb’s iconicity model and the Pauling iconicity model, as well as with theoretical findings from previous studies. Furthermore, we calculated the magnetic susceptibility of I-VII group compounds using the average energy gap values and compared our results with experimental values and other theoretical findings. Additionally, we derived the optical reflective index (n) from the optical dielectric constant (??) and presented our calculated values of optical constants alongside reported literature values. Our results demonstrate excellent agreement with experimental data, validating our approach.
